Northwest Iowa Workforce Development Board

Please note: The Northwest Iowa Local Workforce Development Area voted to dissolve in early 2023 and is no longer active. The following information is now archived. 

Starting on July 1, 2023, Iowa Workforce Development formally became responsible for providing workforce services to a new 42-county region, the Iowa Plains Local Workforce Development Area. (Official creation of Iowa Plains is expected to come before the Iowa State Workforce Development Board later this month.). For more information, visit this link.

 

Northwest Iowa

The Northwest Iowa Workforce Development Board provides visionary leadership and oversight to workforce development in the Northwest Iowa Local Workforce Development Area consisting of Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola,  Palo Alto, and Sioux counties.  CEO members are elected officials from the ten county area, while LWDB members are leaders from business, labor, economic development, government, public assistance, education, youth and community based organizations.
